Who We Are
We started FC-IT because too many small businesses and contractors were stuck between two bad options: DIY accounting that creates problems down the road, or big firms that charge big fees and treat you like a number.
We wanted to build something different. A firm that brings real technical depth (DCAA compliance, grant accounting, audit prep) but works closely enough with clients to actually understand their business. Not just close the books and disappear.
We specialize in small business startups, government contractors at the federal, state, and local level, nonprofits, grant-funded organizations, and professional services firms. Whether you're just getting started or managing a complex contract, we combine deep accounting knowledge with practical, hands-on advisory.
We serve clients across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Richardson, and Arlington, as well as businesses virtually across the United States.
Lubna Chaudhry
Founder and CEO, ACCA, CIA, QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor
Lubna has over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, working with everything from small startups to USDA-funded grant programs. She holds the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) designation and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), with deep expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
As a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, she designs and supports accounting systems that are scalable, clean, and audit-ready. She's worked with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Wave, Zoho, Bill.com, Expensify, Gusto, ADP, and Rippling, so whatever platform you're on (or need to move to), she's probably already built a system on it.
Her professional background includes contracting with the Colorado Office of the State Auditor, which gave her firsthand experience with government oversight, compliance expectations, and what auditors actually look for. That perspective shapes everything about how FC-IT sets up accounting systems for its clients.
She brings a practical, compliance-driven approach to helping clients build sound financial systems, stay on top of contract and grant requirements, and grow without the constant stress of wondering if their books are right.
